I’ll Regret this when I’m drowning in cold water but I just cant force myself to spend 170 on that.
We used to use an old-fashioned rope ladder hung of the transom.
Dad kept it rolled and stowed on the inner side of the transom, with a lanyard affixed so it hung off the rear. It was reachable by a man in the water. A swift yank on the rope and the ladder would flop over the rear and roll down.
It wasn’t a fancy thing like this, and it wasn’t for anything but emergencies.

I don’t get why the first guy was trying to climb over the side, instead of going to the transom which can be lower and use the motor to climb up. Nice device but other things I’d rather spend the money on. Just my two cents.
My father has a chair installed on the basement steps. Maybe we could have one of these installed on the boat. It would be much easier than using a ladder! It’s al a little extreme as there are many ways to enter the boat without a permanently installed ladder cluttering up the transom, isn’t it?
