The Abu Garcia Zata is Abu’s new sub $200 low profile fishing reel. The Zata comes in at a decent price point and can be had for around $175. The Zata is not as pricey as some other reels, it’s still up there in cost. Would you pony up for this Shimano Curado competitor? In my opinion, if this reel performs anywhere near my Abu Garcia Revo Rocket, then this… ...Read More
Here is a great video on Down Imaging Basics for the beginner. Are you as completely confused as me? Are you just trying to wrap your head around this technology? Thank goodness for people like Johnny and his Fish The Moment YouTube channel.

Below is a must-watch aluminum boat deck extension done by Angling Archery. This video combines a deck extension, carpet, and vinyl installed on a Crestliner 1750 Raptor. I really like the storage area that they built for baits. This particular deck extension was designed is for the Musky hunter. I can also see it come in handy for those that throw massive swimbaits.… ...Read More

Is the Teckel Bladewaker really going to be a game-changer? To me and a lot of other folks, it looks like a chatterbait copy. The Bladewaker is not available yet, so no one has had the opportunity to fish it. I have watched the video posted below and I can say that if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it’s a duck.
This is Bladewaker

I’m late to the game, but I’m sure you have heard about the wobble head jig also referred to as a swing head jig. My first encounter with these swing head jigs was during my recent trip to Mexico. I caught my biggest bass and personal best bass on a wobble head jig. The Bass weighed in at 8 pounds and 13 ounces.
If you have not read about my trip to Mexico, you… ...Read More
I think the folks at YETI have lost their minds. I bet I could find a lot of people who would agree with me. If you feel that spending $70 bucks on a bucket with lid is worth it, then go for it. More power to you. I will tell you what, hit up any restaurant and they will give you buckets with lids for free. If you are really desperate, and I mean really desperate, head on over… ...Read More
I burnt my hands to a crisp in Mexico and when I got back I purchased a pair of Filthy Anglers Fingerless Fishing Gloves. The sun is no joke, but I’m done with sunscreen. I don’t want to have to remember to keep applying sunscreen every few hours. I just don’t care for it on my skin while I’m fishing. Call me paranoid.
What I was looking for… ...Read More
While surfing YouTube for random videos and whatnot, I came across an aluminum boat comparison. While not completely an apples to apples comparison, it was more like Fuji apple vs a Gala apple comparison. This particular video compared a 17-foot Alumacraft vs a 17-foot Bass Tracker.
There are a few things to make note of. Memphis Boat Center is an Alumacraft… ...Read More
