I purchased a Lock N’ Stow for my boat and finally had a chance to put it on to see if it would actually fit. The particular Lock N’ Stow I purchased from Amazon was the model 10108. I was hoping it would be a solid fit for my 115 HP Mercury outboard, and it was. The unit is small and solidly built. To me, this was worth the $66 dollars.

Well, well, well, what do we got going on over here? Nothing really, just my first look at the DOOMSDAY D-Hop 75 frog from Doomsday Tackle. If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with topwater frog fishing. I didn’t say I was good at it, but I will say it is an exciting way to fish for bass. The thrill of having a fish blow up the surface of the water and inhale… ...Read More
I went to a local boat show to check out the new Lund 2075 Pro V Bass. To be honest, that’s the only reason I went. I knew Hank’s Marine was rigging one up for a local Pro-staffer and that it would be at the show. Right up front let me tell you that the Lund 2075 Pro V Bass is the ultimate aluminum bass boat.
In my opinion, all other aluminum bass boats should… ...Read More
I attended the New England Fishing Expo this past February not expecting to see a Vexus AVX 1880 at the show. My first look at the Vexus AVX 1880 left me mostly impressed, but was it perfect? There has been a big buzz with Vexus as of last year when they introduced a brand new revolutionary aluminum bass boat at the Classic last year. It was touted to be the aluminum boat… ...Read More
Late one night I was online searching for cheap tungsten weights for purchase. I quickly realized that this was not going to be an easy task. What was I looking for? I wanted worm weights, as that’s what I fish 75% of my time on the water. I also mostly fish with my family, which means plenty of lost hooks and weights. The search for cheap Tungsten weights was… ...Read More
Bass Pro Shops, I hate you. Please stop sending me sales flyers. How can one resist a Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier 2 reel for $49? I can’t. In my moment of weakness, I ended up buying the PQE10HA version of the reel. This is the limited-Edition version of the reel. Limited-Edition for half the price? What’s wrong with this picture?

I think I have finally found the perfect worm organizer. I ran across theĀ Flambeau Super Half Satchel Soft Bait Organizer on a quest one night. Quest you ask? Yes, many years of disorganization and frustration of never finding the bait when I needed it, had to come to an end. I was on the hunt for something, but I had no idea what I was looking for. Raymarine is killing it with their Dragonfly series of fishing electronics. The Raymarine Dragonfly 7PRO is the biggest and brightest sonar of the Dragonfly series. The 7PRO is a full featured unit with all the bells and whistles and can be had for $500 or less. I think this unit would be great up front on the boat, or as the main unit for a small tin.
