I took the plunge and ordered some Nako Tungsten Weights. The ad came across my Facebook feed and like a typical fisherman, I bit. I’m always on the lookout for cheap tungsten weights. There are certain things I hate spending money on, and tungsten fishing weights are one of them. I get the whole tungsten vs. lead debate, so I just suck it up and pay for tungsten. I hit up the Nako shop website and started comparing weight prices.
For the most part, they are the cheapest player in the game. Notice I said most part, I did see they were a few cents more on certain weights when I compared them to omfishingsinkers.com which is where I usually buy my weights from. I liked the fact that the Nako weights have the weight stamped on them, that’s just me. I’m willing to pay a couple of cents more for that feature.
Nako Tungsten Weights
Nako’s website is clean, simple, and secure. I do IT security for a living so I’m always on high alert when doing things online. So I placed an order for some bullet and flipping weights on the heavier side for my upcoming trip to Lake Baccarac with Pro Bass Adventures. I ordered a couple of packs of 1/2, 3/4, and 1 oz. weights.
The prices were in fact the cheapest I have seen except for the flipping weights. They were priced higher than omfishingsinkers. The one other caveat to this is that omfishingsinkers allows you to buy by piece, Nako offers only bulk packs in their bullet weights.
Quality fit and finish
I wasn’t sure what to expect when the package arrived at my house. Was I getting some cheap junk or was I going to get some decent weights? I’m happy to say that the weights are solid and the fit and finish are fantastic. There was no chipped paint, they were smooth in the center with no rough parts to cut your line, and the weight stamp is perfect.
Final Thoughts
I’m super happy with this purchase and will probably buy from Nako again. I placed my order on October 17, and the weights arrived on October 30. Keep that in mind if you are planning on buying some weights and need them by a certain time. I don’t consider the delivery time an issue especially with the times we are in. Plan ahead I guess.

In reality, Nako will NOT match the prices on omfishingsinkers.com. I was just told as much by Nako, without any explanation. Seems Nako should live up to its advertised promise to meet any price, but sadly that is the way of the world. I continue to buy from omfishingsinkers.com.
Interesting! My goto has always been omfishingsinkers as well, I wanted to try Nako because their weights are stamped with the actual weight. If they are not willing to price match like they said they would then that’s just wrong IMO.
