I did it, I picked a couple of Boing Lures topwater baits. My sick obsession with fishing topwater baits has me on the search for perfection. Normally I am a topwater popper kind of guy. My go-to lure is a Lobina Rio Rico. This time I was in search of a walk-the-dog style bait, and I came across Boing Lures on the Tackle Warehouse website.

If you love fishing, then you need to add Quabbin Reservoir Fishing to your bucket list. Back in the day, we fished Quabbin from boats that we could rent, fun times for sure. My goal is to get back out there with someone who knows what they are doing, and maybe then I can catch some decent fish. If you decide you want to get out to the Quabbin reservoir, click the link… ...Read More

Things you find surfing the internet. I came across a website called On the Fly Jack Plates. Basically, this is an on the fly manual jack plate that allows for instant adjustments, even while motoring along. Some will whine about safety while motoring, but seriously pay attention and just be careful. These are not cheap, but not outrageous either. I would put… ...Read More
The guys over at Blue Line Fishing did a great little walkthrough & review of the 2020 Bass Tracker Classic XL. Most folks agree that Bass Tracker is synonymous with being a great value, decent quality boat. My cousin had a little Tracker 165 powered by a 25hp 4-stroke. It was just a beast of a little fishing boat that created fun times and memories. I wish he still… ...Read More
Check out this video series of a really badass 1648 Jon Boat to Bass Boat build. These videos were created by TinBoats.net member Nate Eckhold. Nate does some awesome work on aluminum boats. I have had a few online chats with Nate, and I can tell you upfront that Nate is not a “computer” guy. His comfort areas are working with his hands, and that is just… ...Read More
Well, it’s a wrap. This will be the final report for Mexico Bass Fishing at Lake Baccarac. This was just an awesome trip. I had such a good time and experience, that I’ve already penciled in my return for next year. Yes, it was that good. My only complaint about this trip is the return home. It’s just sad leaving such a beautiful fishery.

Check out the new Avid 20 XB Aluminum Boat. From what I am reading, it was revealed at the 2020 Bassmaster Classic. This is one sharp-looking aluminum bass boat. I get that it is not for everyone, but for those looking for a tournament bass boat, you might want to take a look at Avid Boats. Looks like there is way more room for the driver than what is in my Ranger. That’s… ...Read More
I came across a fish finder basics video on YouTube and thought it would be cool to share it. The video is 17 minutes long and explains how side imaging works at a real basic level. You know, something even I could understand. Definitely take the time and watch this video if you are considering a side imaging unit. I also recommend subscribing to the Fish The Moment… ...Read More
