This is going to be my initial Buzbe tackle box review as they were just dropped off by trusty FedEx. Upon opening the box, I got a feeling that I was dealing with a high-quality product and I soon found out I was correct.
The schtick with this tackle box system is that the bins can be customized to how the user sees fit. Yes, it works as advertised. The bins fit like Legos in the box and don’t really move out of place. I opted for the starter kit which includes extra bins for those empty boxes. The possibilities with this are endless with the number of combinations you can arrange with the bins.
The boxes themselves feel really well made and heavy duty with military-grade plastic and stainless steel hatches. I took it to the pool in my backyard to test if the box floated. It was empty, but it did stay above the water. Plus, the water didn’t even get in the box. It’s rust-resistant, so this tackle box can go the distance.
I also would like to point out the whole bumblebee aesthetic and the attention to detail. The boxes are dark gray and yellow. It also has the Buzbe logo and name engraved on the lid. It looks really cool. Also, the latches are yellow and hexagonal shaped. In the box, the bins are placed into little hexagons with little bees in each one of them. It’s the little things like that that make me appreciate the product even more.
Buzbe Colony 28 Starter Kit
I got the Colony 28 Starter Kit which came with four boxes with bins, and two that were empty. Right now, on their website, it goes for $279.00. I was able to get it for $237.15 because of the Memorial Day sale. You get what you pay for, and the Buzbe Tackle Box does not disappoint. I know some people will hesitate because of the price point, but I took the plunge and I’m glad I did.

This was the first Buzbe tackle box review. I plan on buying the colony 15 starter kit as well which is a smaller version of the 28 in the near future. The Colony 28 boxes are 3700 sized boxes, and the Colony 15 boxes are the size of 3600 sized boxes.
