I did it, I picked a couple of Boing Lures topwater baits. My sick obsession with fishing topwater baits has me on the search for perfection. Normally I am a topwater popper kind of guy. My go-to lure is a Lobina Rio Rico. This time I was in search of a walk-the-dog style bait, and I came across Boing Lures on the Tackle Warehouse website.

A quick conversation with Jason Yocum (Owner of Boing Lures) and not one, but two lures were on there way to my house. Before you get any ideas, I do pay for all my stuff. I picked up one of the Boing Topwater lures, and one Boing G2 popper. I couldn’t resist trying the popper as well.
Boing G2 Popper
This lure is not on the TW website as it’s a new color, black with blue fleck. The G2 weighs 3/4 of an ounce. I bet I can cast this popper a country mile.

That’s the name of this walk-the-dog bait. Nothing more, nothing less. I have high hopes for this lure because of the YouTube video I watched. It looks like it walks nicely and catches fish.
This color is called Sexy Bone Black Back. It’s roughly 4-inches long and weighs 3/4 of an ounce. Again, this one feels like you can cast it a mile, and from watching the video, it has a nice walk to it. A nice feature of these lures is they come with Gamakatsu hooks and hand-tied feathered trebles.
I have read the reviews and they are mixed. Personally I take reviews with a grain of salt. I will use and test the lures on my own and provide feedback because I have nothing to gain or lose. Are Boing Lures Topwater Baits the real deal? I will let you know how they perform for me over the summer.
