While surfing YouTube for random videos and whatnot, I came across an aluminum boat comparison. While not completely an apples to apples comparison, it was more like Fuji apple vs a Gala apple comparison. This particular video compared a 17-foot Alumacraft vs a 17-foot Bass Tracker.
There are a few things to make note of. Memphis Boat Center is an Alumacraft dealer and not a dealer of Bass Tracker boats. They state that in the video. I think they did a pretty good job of being unbiased. One other thing to make note of, the Alumacraft is a Bass boat, while the Tracker is more of a crappie fishing boat to me with livewells up front and multiple seat positions. Lastly, the Tracker ran a 4-stroke 60hp Mercury, and the Alumacraft ran a 2-stroke 60hp Evinrude.
Alumacraft vs Bass Tracker
A special thanks to Memphis Boat Center for creating this cool comparison. I especially liked the Drone footage. I would love to see more Tin Boat comparisons.
This video went pretty much the way I expected it to. Bass Tracker makes a great boat, and you get a lot of value for the price no doubt. That is why it is the number one selling aluminum boat out there. Alumacraft is synonymous with building a quality boat.
What did you think of this aluminum boat comparison? Did it go as you expected it to go? I would love to hear your thoughts. Leave your comments below or reach out to me here.
