If you are looking for a budget aluminum bass boat with all the basic features, you might want to consider the Alumacraft Prowler 175. Allot of us cannot or will not spend big money on a tournament ready aluminum rig. For the rest of of us, boats in this price range will work. I really like the simplicity of this boat, and you can upgrade everything as you want it or as much as the funds allow.

Storage
One thing I did notice that you might want to consider is that this boat lacks a little storage. While it does have storage in the front, and storage under the seats, that’s pretty much it. The boat does have a rod locker, but as bass fisherman, we need to keep all our lures and baits with us at all times. This might be an issue for some, for me, I will always bring my tackle box anyway. I get it though, Alumacraft is trying to keep the boat at a certain price point and some of the extras we take for granted are just eliminated.
Final Thoughts
Remember, these are my thoughts and opinions and not word of God so please take what I say as just that, an opinion. Buying a boat is a big deal, especially if it is your first one. This boat having everything you need already setup is a perfect step into the bass fishing world. I like the fact that you can upgrade the electronics and motors, and I also like the fact that you can choose any outboard manufacturer you want. Not that many boat manufacturers do this.
Alumacraft is a dinosaur when it comes to building boats. They have been around forever. There is a reason for this, and that is because they build a quality product that stands the test of time.
