Is the Teckel Bladewaker really going to be a game-changer? To me and a lot of other folks, it looks like a chatterbait copy. The Bladewaker is not available yet, so no one has had the opportunity to fish it. I have watched the video posted below and I can say that if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it’s a duck.

So, what makes this so different than the Chatterbait and all its variants? The blade! It looks like something out of the future. From watching the video, it does look like it works.

I was able to decipher some information from some Japanese sites thanks to Google translation. I read that the Teckel bladewaker can be fished like a buzzbait, wakebait, and a crankbait. Below are a couple of pictures I grabbed off the Teckel Lures Facebook page. This bait will be available in 8 colors once it becomes available. A couple are below. Looks like a chatter bait, what am I missing? Don’t think the blade will make that much of a difference. How much are they going to cost?
Time will tell if the R&D on the blade is the game changer.
Fella’s…. This thing is a beast. The way I see it, you can let your buddy get it first and smoke you, or you can be the buddy. Either way, you WILL end up with a couple.. Assuming you can even get them when that time comes. This bait is a sleeper, mark my words!
