This is a quick and dirty Grizzly sunglasses review. It’s strange how some things come about. I was spending time researching sunglasses online. That’s what I normally do before I buy something. I ended up liking the Grizzly Fishing page on Facebook because they started popping up on my feed. It’s funny how that works, seems they are always watching and listening.
I am usually not the type to just jump on things and buy them, so I didn’t commit until a buddy of mine named Donnie approached me and told me he purchased the Grizzly sunglasses because he saw that I liked the Grizzly Fishing Facebook page. See how that works? Social Media is no joke, they know what they are doing. Donnie let me try the sunglasses on and I was impressed. He told me that he thought they were awesome, clear, light, and just awesome for the price. That was all it took to take the plunge and buy a pair for myself.
PROFESSIONAL POLARIZED FISHING GLASSES
I headed over to the Grizzly fishing website and I noticed that they sell a few models of sunglasses. I ended up going with the professional polarized fishing glasses. They were “On Sale” for $29.99. Now if you have a half a brain, you know this is the everyday price. This model comes in two frame choices, black, and Camo. You also get a choice in lenses, blue, grey, sunrise, amber. I chose the Camo and blue lens because that is how I roll.
- HD Polarized Lenses: Reflects glare so you can see DEEPER into the water.
- 100% UV 400 Protection: Keeps your eyes safe from sun damage.
- Wraparound Frames: Lets less light in your peripheral vision.
- Anti-Reflective Coating: Reduces eye strain and increases clarity.
- Feather-light Frames: So you feel like you aren’t wearing anything.

My Opinion
If you follow this page at all you know that I just purchased a pair of Wiley X WX compass sunglasses after attending ICAST this year. Hands down the WX compass’s are my favorite sunglasses that I have owned to date.
That being said, I love these Grizzly polarized sunglasses. The sunglasses are awesome and are the real deal. They are super light so it feels like you are wearing nothing, they are crystal clear, AND they don’t do that stupid reflective glare thing that happens when you wear certain sunglasses. With some sunglasses, it looks like there might be a smudge in the corner of the lens, but it’s just some reflective stuff going on. I haven’t experienced that with these shades.
Final Thoughts
I proceeded to the checkout and the total was $29.99 minus the 5% coupon I had. As I was finalizing my order, a window popped up asking me if I wanted to buy a second pair of sunglasses for $19.99. You know what I did, I added a second pair of sunglasses (this time camo with grey lens) to the order. After all, was said and done, I had two pairs of these sunglasses coming. Both come with hard cases and cleaning cloths for a total of $48.49.
Here are a couple of things to be aware of, not really “cons”, but just be aware. Free shipping means roughly a 4-week wait as the sunglasses are coming from overseas. Also, they do not float. While they are plastic, and the rate of fall is slow, they will sink to the bottom.
Would I buy these sunglasses for my primary driving and fishing sunglasses? Without a doubt. I don’t think you can go wrong with having a couple of pairs of these for spares on your boat, in your truck, or wherever. Taking a newbie out fishing for the first time and they experience polarized sunglasses, they are amazed!
Lastly, I do not have any affiliation with Grizzly sunglasses. They are not a sponsor/advertiser on TinBoats.net. I paid full retail for the sunglasses and I am giving you my opinion only.
If you’re interested in buying a decent pair of sunglasses for short money, head on over to Grizzly Fishing and get a pair. You won’t be disappointed. If you hate them, you will have a decent spare that you didn’t pay a lot of money for.
What would this review be without a self-imposed selfie? If you want to look like a stud, get you a pair of Grizzly sunglasses.
