There is no technique I want to learn more than throwing a Jig. This technique is a curse for me and no matter how much time I dedicate to it, I just don’t “get it”. What am I missing? I don’t know. I will tell you what though, I have secured a private lesson with one of the best Jig experts out there and his name is Bill Quattrucci, owner of Bico Jigs. Most likely this day will be in the Spring/Summer of 2019, as our schedules just don’t mesh right now.
The Bico Jig
Normally I don’t believe the hype about lures as I believe it is what you have confidence throwing, but there are so many pictures of Pig Bass being caught on these jigs that you cannot deny that they work. You can’t, don’t even try to argue. Do you want proof? Just check their Facebook page for yourself. Take a minute to check out the action of the Bico Jig underwater.
There is no denying that if you want to catch quality fish, you need to use a quality bait and technique. You can sling Senko’s all day long and catch fish all day sure, but if you want quality fish you need to learn a technique like flipping and pitching Jigs. Hopefully, I will get there one day. Throwing a Jig can be frustrating, I know this as I experience it every time I pick up my rod.
Do yourself a favor, dedicate some time learning this technique, I know I will be. Reach out to Bill if you have any questions about fishing a jig, he is always willing to help out. Check out the Bico Jigs website to order some jigs or get some valuable tips. There is also a new Jig coming out that Bill has been working on, so again check out their site and Facebook page to get the latest details. I will not spoil this one.
